Ministry: Zions

Zions Ministry

The Zions Ministry, inspired by the biblical holy city and fortress for mountain Zion, identifies the girls in the church as Zions, referencing Psalms 125:1. From the earliest stages of life, Zions are nurtured in godliness and holiness, with a focus on pleasing God throughout their lives. Raised as princesses, Zions adhere to a distinct code of conduct, emphasizing decency in dress, hairstyles, and timely actions as recommended by the Bible.

What are the Zions (Ba Sayuni)

With reference to the biblical holy City and fortress for mountain Zion, which can’t be shaken by any forces of the enemy (evil), the girls in church are identified as Zions (Psalms 125:1). From the earliest stages of their lives, Zions are nurtured and raised in Godliness and Holiness, taught to serve the purpose of pleasing God day by day throughout their lives. The Zion (girl child) is raised as a princess, expected to be decent in dress code, hairstyle, and to do everything at its rightful time, as recommended by the Bible.

Zions adhere to a characteristic dress code that excludes pants, miniskirts, mini dresses, and any attire that exposes their privacy. They are instructed not to engage in any form of love affairs or sexual relationships before being given out for marriage to the husbands chosen for them by God. This stands in contrast to the code of conduct for girls outside the Church, where early involvement in love and sex affairs exposes them to fornication, sexual immorality, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancies, and divided thoughts even in their school years.

The Zion ministry unites these girls, organizing meetings for counseling and guidance on various issues. Actively engaged in church service, they participate in Praise And Worship (Choir) activities, fundraising, and visiting one another, including the sick and new converts, to strengthen each other in their spiritual journey and contribute to the spread of the gospel of God. The organization of the church into ministries is crucial for mobilizing specific groups with shared interests, ensuring the flow of relevant information and collective pursuit of their causes.
