From the Pits to Promise: UAFCR Marks Spiritual Independence Day

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the Universal Apostles Fellowship Church of Righteousness (UAFCR) gathered at its Headquarters in Jinja City, Uganda, for the Annual Spiritual Independence Day. Themed “From the Pits to Promise” and Inspired by Isaiah 51:1-4, this joyous celebration drew thousands of believers eager to reflect on God’s transformative power. Under the leadership of the spiritual leader, Prophet David, the event marked a historic moment for the Church and the African community.

The day opened with a powerful reading of Isaiah 51:1-4, setting the tone for the celebration:

Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn. Look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him, he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many. The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

This scripture served as a foundation for the theme, highlighting the miraculous transformation from spiritual bondage to freedom and abundance.

Prophet David reminded the congregation of their journey from being the despised and rejected to becoming God’s favored people. He declared, “We are the living evidence of the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus. Today, we celebrate God welcoming the Blacks—the once heathen, the once despised—as now His chosen ones.”

The Church reflected on its triumphs over spiritual strongholds such as sin, addiction, and generational iniquities. The day emphasized God’s enduring love and restoration for the Black community, particularly in Uganda, East Africa, and Africa as a whole.

He assured the congregation, saying, “As long as am on the throne there is no entry for sin.” This statement solidified the prophet’s commitment to leading his people in spiritual freedom and righteousness.

To amplify this message, Prophet David requested the Kampala Elites Choir’s song titled “No Longer a Slave of Sin” be played. The song, a heartfelt declaration of victory over sin, filled the air as the congregation worshipped and praised in unity.

The celebration included a timeline of UAFCR’s milestones in spiritual warfare and restoration. Members testified of being rescued from sin, addiction, and oppression. Many shared how God had broken the chains that once held them captive, healing their wounds, and restoring their lives with joy and salvation.

Prophet David highlighted the church’s victory, saying, “We have overcome the dominion of darkness, reclaimed our spiritual inheritance, and are now walking in the fullness of destiny.”

A highlight of the day was the singing of anointed songs led by Prophet David, including the stirring anthem “ABOLUGANDA TUJJUKILE JETWAVA EKISA KYA YESU KYATULOLOLA,” which translates to “Brethren, remember where we came from; it was God’s grace that saved us.” This song reminded believers of the depths from which they had been delivered and the grace of God that continues to sustain them.

The worship atmosphere was electrifying as the congregation sang songs of triumph, proclaiming their freedom and reflecting on God’s immeasurable love.

These testimonies stood as a testament to God’s redemptive power and the church’s mission to shine as a beacon of hope.

The event concluded with an overwhelming sense of God’s presence as a cloud of glory descended upon the gathering. Songs of worship filled the air as the congregation celebrated their spiritual independence. Prophet David affirmed, “From the ashes of captivity to the crown of salvation, we are a city on a hill for all nations to see.”

This celebration stands as a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness to the Blacks, who were once despised and are now exalted. UAFCR continues to inspire hope and demonstrate the transformative power of the God of Prophet David, a God whose promises endure forever.

As the event came to an end, Prophet David blessed the congregation, declaring, “May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” The day left an indelible mark on the faithful, reaffirming their identity as God’s chosen people and their commitment to walking in the freedom of His Spirit.
